Campbell  ~ William "Bill" Thomas Downs, 62  of Campbell, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

William, son of John Hubert Downs and Betty Laverne Whorton Smith, was born on Monday June 18, 1956 in Gideon Missouri.

He worked at the Auto Parts store.

His survivors include one son, Travis Downs and wife Amanda of Sugar Land, Texas; two granddaughters, Harlow and Harper; his mother, Betty Smith of Campbell; nine siblings, Claudia Benson of Malden, Lee Smith (Ron) of Malden, Kay Baker (Vernon) of Drummond Tennessee, John Downs Jr. (Connie) of Dittmer, Lewis Smith (Linda) of Blytheville, Laverne Jones (Gill) of Kennett, Ronnie Downs (Robin) of Leesburg Georgia, Betty Speer of Campbell, Donnie Downs (Gayla) of Ellsinore.

He was preceded in death by his father, John H. Downs Sr., one son William Downs Jr., one brother Robert Smith and step-father, Claude H. Smith.

Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m., Saturday October 20, 2018 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell. Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Landess Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis McGinley officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
