Clarkton ~ Wilford "Pete" Norton, 71 of Clarkton, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at his residence in Clarkton, Missouri.

Pete, son of Willie Lee and Ancie Marie Cheshire Norton, was born on Thursday, October 18, 1951 in Hornersville, Missouri.

He was a retired transport driver for Pilot.

In March 1985, in Clarkton, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Linda Ladell Barnes.  She survives.

Other survivors include, daughter, Jennifer Norton; son, Austin Richards; three grandchildren, Dalton Norton, Keylee Gromer, Keaton Gromer; brother, Benny Norton of Wappapello; sister, Exie Dickens and husband, Herbert of Wappapello and Mary Bridgeman of Piggott.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Walter Norton, Jimmy Norton, George Norton and sister, Virginia Hendrix.

Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden.  The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Landess Funeral Chapel with Reverend Randy Vaughn officiating.  Interment will be in Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Missouri.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Malden will be in charge of the arrangements.
