Wanda Christine (Hogan) Dunscombe, daughter of James and Willie Hogan, was born August 19, 1920 in Northeast Arkansas and departed for her heavenly home on January 23, 2020 at the age of 99 years, 5 months and 4 days.  Wanda married James Dunscombe on January 29, 1939 in Clarkton, Missouri.

She was a lifelong dedicated Christian and a member of the Baptist Church, where she was always very active and made major contributions to the programs in her church homes.  She most recently was a member of First Baptist Church of Campbell, MO.

She loved her family and she always wanted to be involved and she supported all of her family in their various endeavors in life.  She served many years as a Committee Woman for the Dunklin County Democratic Party and attended the inauguration of President Jimmy Carter in Washington D.C. in 1977.  She also loved the outdoors and always had her beautiful flower garden around her home.  Being an outdoor person, she also loved golf and recorded two holes-in-one during her life.

Wanda is survived by her daughter, Judith Turner and husband Dwight of St. Louis, Mo, grandson,  Bart Turner and wife Joy of Oklahoma City, OK, granddaughter, Rene Ward and husband Robert of Aurora, MO and granddaughter-in-law, Lori Turner of St. Louis, MO, 9 great grandchildren, 11 great, great grandchildren, brother, Delmar Hogan and wife Dixie of Campbell, MO and sister, Elaine Bledsoe of Texarkana, AR

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Willie Hogan, her husband, James Dunscombe, an infant daughter, grandson Lance Turner and great grandson Maximus Turner, brothers Clyde and Paul and sisters Marie, Aldean, Margie and Thelma.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., Monday, January 27, 2020 at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell with services beginning at 1 p.m., with Reverend Marty Carlisle officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Clarkton.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Campbell First Baptist or to the Bootheel Youth Museum in Malden, MO.
