Wanda Marie
Asher
Mar 16, 1934 — Dec 31, 2023
Wanda Marie Asher, 89 of Jonesboro, Arkansas, formerly of Malden, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Spring Creek Health and Rehab in Cabot, Arkansas.
Wanda, daughter of Elmer and Mollie Vaden Stahl, was born on Friday, March 16, 1934, in Piggott, Arkansas.
She was a housewife and was a member of Sunnyvale Baptist Church.
On December 3, 1951, in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Reginald Asher. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2004.
Her survivors include daughter, Connie Leonard of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Cheryl Hill and husband David of Cabot, Arkansas and Chris Staten and wife Sarah of Beebe, Arkansas; four great-grandchildren, Asher and Evelyn Hill, Norah and Walker Staten and many, many more nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her four brothers, Adawn, Finis, Kenneth and Donald Ray Stahl and two sisters, Verlene Baker and Phyllis Elder.
Wanda was a devout Christian who loved to sing and worship in the church. She loved her family almost as fiercely as she loved the lord. Wanda was a mother to one daughter, but treated so many of her nieces and nephews like they were her own. When her grandchildren were born she immediately became their biggest cheerleader. She shared her love of music with them and loved to show them off. But nothing in the whole world made her happier spending time with her great grandchildren. No one could make her smile as big as they could. She will be missed by so many but we know she is rejoicing in heaven with the lord and the love of her life.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, with a funeral service officiated by Reverend Ken Cook and Reverend James Hamlett beginning at 1 p.m. Burial following in Elder Cemetery in Campbell.
