Malden ~ Virginia Lee Copeland, 78 of Campbell, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Missouri Delta Medical in Sikeston, Missouri.

Virginia, daughter of Hubert and Leadie B. Freeman Carter, was born on Monday, October 23, 1944 in Trailback, Missouri.

She retired from Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center; worked in Home Healthcare for Genesis and later was a file clerk for Genesis and was of the Pentecostal Faith.

On October 26, 1963 in Illiopolis, Illinois, she was united in marriage to Olen Leon Copeland.  He preceded her in death on September 17, 2022.

Her survivors include three daughters, Angela Copeland of Poplar Bluff, Merranda Borders and husband, Shannon of Campbell and Tyla Walker and husband, Terry of Lilbourn; five grandchildren, Kristopher Walker and wife, Lauren, Brooke Adams and husband, Austin, Ronald Lee Webb, Jr., Dylan Borders and Ashley Borders; eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters and a brother.

Visitation will be from 12 – 1 p.m., Friday, October 6, 2023 at the Landess Funeral Home and Crematory in Malden. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Reverend Johnny Bogle officiating.  Interment will follow at Rosewood 1st Addition Cemetery in Malden, Missouri.
