Vernon G. Earnheart, 78, of Malden, was born on Monday, September 4, 1939 in Leachville, Arkansas to the late Elzie R. Earnheart and Almeda Watson Earnheart. He departed this life on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Vernon G. Earnheart had been a truck driver for John's Produce and was the former Chief of Police in Malden. He attended the Spoonerville Baptist Church in Malden. Vernon was united in marriage to Frankie W. Davis on February 23, 1968 in Malden, Missouri. She preceded him in death on Wednesday, June 1, 2016.

His survivors include:

Sons: Terry V. Earnheart of Malden, Tommy Earnheart of Parker, Colorado and Eric Davis & wife, Lana of Sikeston.
Daughter: Tammy Earnheart of Dexter.
5 Grandchildren and 6 Great-grandchildren
Brothers: Ronnie Earnheart & wife, June of Malden and A L Earnheart of Malden.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and brothers: W R & JR Earnheart.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Earnest Puckett officiating.

Interment will be in the Rosewood First Addition Cemetery in Malden, Missouri.
