Obituary

Campbell ~ Valah Mae Dalton, 96 of Campbell, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, Missouri.

Mae, daughter of William Henry and Cora Estella Montgomery Carpenter, was born on Wednesday, May 7, 1924 in Lafe, Arkansas.

She was a housewife and a member of the Campbell Church of Christ.

On June 17, 1942, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Phillip Harold Dalton.  He preceded her in death on August 4, 2000.

Her survivors include four daughters, Phyllis Gregory and husband, Dale of DeSoto, Linda Tate and husband, Terry, Kathy Pitts and Brenda Philpot and husband, Jessie all of Campbell; one daughter-in-law, Mary Dalton of Holcomb; one son, Gerald Dalton and wife, Donna of Campbell; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Harold Franklin Dalton; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma Eagan, Velma Smith; three brothers, Olin Carpenter, Everett Carpenter and Euell Carpenter.

Graveside service will be at 3 p.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Campbell with Mr. James Powell officiating.  Burial will immediately follow.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell will be in charge of the arrangements.
