Obituary

Holcomb ~ Thomas 'Blackie' Edward Doughten, 73 of Mesquite, Texas formerly of Holcomb, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019 in Dallas, Texas.

Son of Guy and Rena Patterson Doughten was born on Sunday, April 15, 1945 in Finley, Tennessee.

On July 29, 1968, he was united in marriage to Lana Riddick.  She preceded him in death in 2010.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War.

His survivors include one daughter, Tammy Maldonado and husband, Steve of Evergreen, Colorado; two grandchildren, Katie Maldonado and Corey Maldonado; four sisters, Lola Coleman and husband, Norman of Maryland Heights, Missouri, Hattie Rainey and husband, Rance of Greenbrier, Arkansas, Carolyn Foster and husband, Glen of Gibson, Missouri, Marilyn Tessaro and husband, Alan of Spartanburg, South Carolina; two brothers, Marvin Doughten and wife, Debbie of Kennett and Billy Doughten and wife, Betty of Paragould, Arkansas; two sisters-in-law, Mary Doughten of Holcomb and Mary Jane Doughten of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Larry Doughten, Guy "Sonny" Doughten, Jr., William "Cob" Doughten and Richard "Rick" Doughten.

Visitation will start at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell, with a memorial service beginning at 11 a.m.
