Campbell ~ Thomas Eugene Arnold, 81 of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, formerly of Campbell, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Thomas, son of Bert Thomas and Savannah Belle Culp Arnold, was born on Saturday, October 22, 1938 in Leachville, Arkansas.

He was a retired United States Navy Veteran having served during the Vietnam War; also retired from the Dunklin County Sheriff's Department after 26 years.  He attended the Poplar Bluff Baptist Church.

On November 8, 1958 in Campbell, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Phyllis J. Pitts.  She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Karen Cobb and husband, Charles Cade of Doniphan, Tina Parker of Poplar Bluff; five grandchildren, Lisa Chastain and husband, Daniel Cornacchione of Kennett, Dale Ryans and wife, Haley of Doniphan, Brandon Arnold and wife, Arielle Samonte, Brittney Williams and Brandi Williams all of Poplar Bluff; fourteen great-grandchildren; one cat, Morris; one brother, James Arnold of Creal Springs, Illinois and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; ten brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell. Funeral services will be on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 12 p.m., at the funeral chapel with Reverend Jim Pemberton officiating. Burial followed in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell will be in charge of the arrangements.
