Matthews ~ Thomas Burton Allen, 83 of Matthews formerly of Campbell, Missouri, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Festus, Missouri.

Thomas, son of Earnest and Bertha Daniel Allen, was born on Saturday, August 24, 1940 in Rome, Georgia.

He was a retired truck driver and was of the Baptist Faith.

On December 16, 1961 in Rome, Georgia, he was united in marriage to Linda Sue Smith.  She survives.

Other survivors include children, Danny Allen and wife, Kim of Clarkton, Tammy Allen of Campbell, Donald Allen of Tennessee, Linda Carol Allen and husband, Earnest of Fort Meyers, Florida, Debra Ann McClinton of Naples, Florida, Greg Allen of Campbell; 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Tony Allen; grandson, Eddie Sanchez; brothers, Melvin, Donald, Danny; sisters, Laura Bell, Margaret, Thelma and Connie Ruth.

Burial will be held at a later date.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Campbell are in charge of the arrangements.
