Obituary

Campbell – Thelma Marie Singleton, 74 of Campbell, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Thelma, daughter of Luther Joe and Lottie Marie Carroll Tankersley, was born on Thursday, March 8, 1951 in Shirley, Arkansas.

She retired from the General Baptist Nursing Home; was of the Baptist Faith and a member of the Rebekah Lodge.

On May 21, 1970 in Campbell, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Linnie Singleton.  He preceded her in death on February 6, 2025.

Her survivors include one brother, Harold Tankersley and wife, Rita of Campbell and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Maxine Edwards, Marcil Bledsoe, Charlene Lightfoot, Carolyn Jannetta Whorton, Marilyn Louise Lack, Geraldean Steward and one brother, Raymond Tankersley.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., Monday, September 8, 2025 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, with funeral services beginning at 2 p.m. with Reverend Darren Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Campbell are in charge of the arrangements.
