Susan Elizabeth Hoeltzle, daughter of the late Linus Petry and Marjorie (Thomason Petry) Davis, was born at Poplar Bluff, Missouri on January 26, 1954, and passed away at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center on April 23, 2023, at the age of 69.

Susan married Richard Hoeltzle on January 7, 2000, and he survives her at their home on Lake Wappapello.

She is survived by one son, Michael Mills and wife, Amy, of Hartsburg, Missouri; three grandchildren, Montgomery, Monroe, and Margot Mills; one sister Matilda White and husband, James, of Bernie, Missouri, and their sons and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Ronald Petry, and one sister Mary Ellen Petry.

A lifelong resident of southeast Missouri, Susan was an avid football fan and loved following her son and grandchildren's athletic endeavors. She enjoyed fishing and adopted numerous pets later in life.

A private graveside memo rial service will be held on Mother's Day, May 14, 2023, in Woodlawn Cemetery, Campbell, Missouri, under the direction of Landess Funeral Home. Interment to follow.
