Steven Ray McMillian, 75, of Red Oak, Texas passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born on Tuesday, December 14, 1948 to Woody and Nora Walker McMillian in Malden, Missouri.
He married the love of his life, Edith Barker on April 14, 1967. Steve retired from James Hardie, where he was in quality control and he also attended Landmark Baptist Church in Red Oak, Texas. Steve's favorite pastimes were gardening and genealogy. He was a lover of nature and always enjoyed a sunrise and a sunset.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Edith, brothers, Ronnie and Donnie McMillian, sister, Connie Downing and nieces, Holly Thompson and Jana Collins. Left to honor his memory are his daughter, Moriah Adams and husband, James of Mineral Wells, TX; granddaughter, Timber Champagne and fiancé Rayce Holt of Strawn, TX; brother, Bobbie McMillian and wife Deborah of Richardson, TX; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
A "Celebration of Life" Service will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 5:00 P.M. at the Malden Church of Christ, 2020 J Hwy, Malden, Missouri.
Landess Funeral Home and Crematory in Malden are in charge of the arrangements.
