Shantiki Sherrell "Kita" Criglar was born on Monday, January 2, 1978, in Dexter, Missouri, to Willie B. Stockard and Jeralene Criglar Stockard.  From an early age, Kita was always known for her hospitality towards others.  

Kita grew up in Jonesboro, Arkansas and Malden, Missouri.  She attended schools at both during her lifetime.  Throughout her life, Kita was passionate about everything and everyone around her.  She became the "candy lady" that gave candy, chips, kool aid pickles, or candied grapes to anyone that asked.  Kita will always be remembered for her giving and mothering spirit.  She always  gave everyone their flowers while they were still alive to accept them.  

Family was especially important to Shantiki.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who cherished time with her friends and family.  Some of her favorite memories included time spent with her grandchildren and also the celebrations she hosted at her home for her friends and family.  

Those who knew Kita will remember her for her big heart, kind soul, long talks, and the way she instilled so much love into everyone every time she saw them.  Kita touched the lives of many people and leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue through everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.  

Kita will be deeply missed and remembered by her family and those who were all able to cross paths with her.  

Her survivors include:  

Mother:  Jeralene Stockard of Malden; Children:   Jamilyn Jafar Criglar, Tymeela Tanae' Criglar; Siblings:  Jamie Criglar/ Sheila Faye of New Madrid; Angie Criglar and Shanta Criglar both of Malden; and Brigit Mitchell of Chicago;  Grandchildren:  Braylon Jafar Criglar; Kyson Linnell Johnson; and Jace Nasir Criglar;  Special Loved one:  Quase Lee

She was preceded in death by:  her Father, Willie B. Stockard and sister, Sheri Mitchell and sons, Jocelyn Jaelon Criglar and Jaeloyn Jaevon Criglar.  

Visitation will begin at noon on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Landess Funeral Home in Malden with services following at 1 P.M. with Pastor Carl Williams officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be:  Demyidez "Ned" Lee, Dontavious Minniefield, Dillion Criglar, Harvey Nix, Triston Harris, Travis Hill, Jermaine Alexander, and Tyronne Lee.  Honorary Pallbearers will be:  Jamilyn Criglar, Jamie Criglar, Raymond Wilson, and Derius Criglar.  

Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Malden, Missouri.  Repass will be held at the Nutrition Center in Malden.  

The family of Shantiki "Kita" Criglar extends our heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.  Your kind words, visits, and thoughtful gestures brought us comfort and strength when we needed it most.  We offer special thanks to Landess Funeral Home for the care, dignity, and compassion shown to our loved one and family.  We are deeply grateful for everyone who traveled  to be here to honor Shantiki.  Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing how deeply Shantiki was loved and respected.  May God bless everyone who was the light in our time of sorrow.
