Ruthie "Pete" Rice Moore was born on August 13th, 1942 in Heber Springs, Arkansas to the late Roy Rice Sr. and Annie Higgins Rice. She passed away peacefully at her home in Malden, Missouri surrounded by her family on January 30th, 2026.

On July 19th, 1991, she was united in marriage at the Malden United Pentecostal Church to Kenneth Moore who survives of the home. They were married for 33 years. She was a homemaker, who made it her life's work to be a compassionate caregiver to take care of her family, friends and anyone in need. She was a woman of strong faith and a member of the Malden United Pentecostal Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family with all her heart.

In addition to her husband Kenny, she is also survived by two sons, David (Sharon) Cowart of New Madrid, and Tommy (Tabitha) Cowart of Decaturville, Tennessee; one daughter Heather Moore and fiancé, Dwight Toomey of Lexington Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Heidi Harris, Jonathan Cowart, Courtney Garner, Brandon Cowart, Hayden Clough, Eli Clough, and Lillian Moore; five great-grandchildren, DJ Cowart, Jayde Cowart, Matthias Garner, Gabe Harris and Willow Harris.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her four brothers, Stacey "Cotton" Rice, Roy "Shorty" Rice, Dalton "Slim" Rice and James Rice and two sisters, Juanita "Mary" Hembrey and Helen Rice.

Visitation will begin at 6 PM Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Malden United Pentecostal Church in Malden.

The funeral service will begin at 11 AM Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Malden United Pentecostal Church with Reverend Bobby Moore officiating.

Interment will be at 11 AM on, Friday February 6, 2026 in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
