Campbell ~ Ron Hartwick, 79 of Campbell, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Ron, son of Marion Ben and Evelyn Pearl Jackson Hartwick, was born on Sunday, November 5, 1944 in Peach Orchard, Missouri.

He was a lifelong carpenter; heavy equipment operator and was also a police officer. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War. He attended the Bethany General Baptist Church and the New Prospect Baptist Church.  He loved the Lord, even after suffering a stroke he praised God.  He was a Master Mason with the Campbell Lodge.

On June 30, 1972 in Granite City, Illinois, he was united in marriage to Karen Blackman.  She survives.

Other survivors include, son, Shannon Hartwick of Bella Vista, Arkansas; daughter, Monica Weidenbenner and husband, Patrick of Glennonville; four grandchildren, Drake Hartwick and wife, Kalasha of Bentonville, Arkansas, Taylor and Conner Cart of St. Louis, Veronica Pierce of Campbell, Miranda Pierce of Duluth, Minnesota; two great-grandchildren, Karsen Taylor and Colt Hartwick; and his best friend, Gibbs; brother, Don Hartwick of Granite City, Illinois; sisters, Joyce Crawford of Pocahontas, Illinois and Joan Rawls of Kennett; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2024 at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.  The funeral service will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell, with Reverend Ken Cook officiating.  Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery in Campbell.
