With great sadness, the family of Robert Gradon Taylor, 67, announces that he went on to his eternal home on February 11, 2022, surrounded by his wife and daughters.

Grady, as he was known, was born on May 20, 1954, in Kennett, to Bobby Wayne and Eujantia Taylor. He graduated from Malden High School class of 1972, where the class voted him Best All Around.

Family meant everything to him, starting with Sherry, his wife of 48 years. He loved to spend time with family and friends, sharing stories and making people laugh. He always wanted to make sure people were treated fairly and enjoyed helping others. He instilled that in his daughters.

For over 40 years, Grady worked in automotive repair shops, working his way up to corporate and eventually returning to stores where he could be with customers. He took great pride in knowing he was the person people came to because they knew they could trust him. As a result, he has built a customer base that feels more like family.

Grady is survived by his wife, Sherry Lynn Taylor of Charlotte, NC; his mother, Eujantia Green Taylor of Malden, MO; daughter Summer Baruth and her husband, Roger of Charlotte, NC; daughter Brooke Hartman and her husband Zach of Lexington, NC. He loved spending time with his four granddaughters – Paige, Rhyan, Gradyn, and Landrey. He shared a special bond with his sisters, Janice Nichols of Bernie, MO; Pat Smith and her husband Jerry of Atlanta, GA and his nieces Christy Riley, Holly Sanders, and Courtney Persano.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Wayne Taylor.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 12:00 PM at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden, with Reverend James Hamlett officiating.

Interment will be in the Bethany Cemetery in Campbell, Missouri.
