Reba was born May 8 th , 1935 in Rector, Arkansas to William Delmer and Sylvia Ardeen Howell.  On September 19 th , 1949 she was married to Billy Joe Griggs of Campbell, Missouri for. Reba and Billy Joe were longtime residents of Campbell until December of 2015 when they moved to Foxridge Assisted Living Center in Bryant, Arkansas so they could be close to their daughters and their families.

Reba was a member of South Canaan General Baptist Church of Gibson, Missouri where she served our Lord in many capacities including weekly cleaning, teaching children and women, the prayer chain and the bereavement committees.

Reba was raised in a blended, farming family, with 9 children.  She married Billy Joe at the age of 14 and knew the value of hard work most of her life. Motherhood never slowed her down! She pulled the two oldest children on her cotton sack without complaint working alongside her husband.  As a young bride and mother, education was put on the back burner.  One of her proudest moments was getting her high school diploma through the General Education Development Program (GED) in September of 1980.  She loved to talk to family and friends on the telephone. She also loved playing cards and marbles with her family and friends.  Most importantly, Reba loved to WIN!!  She could "shine" in the kitchen.  The only job, outside the home, she held was cooking at the Holcomb School Cafeteria. Her family and friends enjoyed her fried peach pies, chocolate pies, chicken and dumplings and chocolate rolls.  Her kids and grandkids always knew that one of their favorites would always be in MawMaw's kitchen when they visited.  MawMaw loved her family and friends and was dearly loved by all of them.

Reba was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Billy Joe Griggs; one son Robert Joe Griggs; one brother Hershel Howell; 5 sisters Irene Holifield, Beulah Young, Jewel Martin, Almarita Williams Sanders and Vonita Martin.

She is survived by 3 daughters; Barbara (Corley) Overall of Benton, Ark; Sheila (Bruce) Carr of Busselton, Western Australia; Shea (Derek) DeLaney of Benton, Ark.; 1 daughter-in-Love Maureen Payne Griggs of Blytheville, Ark;  2 sisters Gracie Case of Dexter, Mo; Brenda (Bob) Barnes of Plano, Tx.; 14 grandchildren; Ryan (Kim) Griggs, Jennifer (Jason) Orton; Cody (Devon) Griggs, Beau Griggs all of Blytheville, Ark and Adam Griggs of Pensacola, Florida;  Elizabeth (Brian) Moore of Benton, Ark.; Matthew (Jessica) Overall of Warren, Ark.; John (Leah) Carr, Luke Carr, Levi Carr and Hanna Carr all of Busselton, Western Australia; Sarah (Chris) Purvis of Sedalia, Missouri;  Trevor (Heather) DeLaney of Malvern, Ark; Hunter DeLaney of Benton, Ark.  19 great grandchildren; Weston, Jensyn, Jadyn, Hallee, Sawyer, Layton, Mattie, Cade, Rylie, Brody, Callie, Isabell, Jax, Asher, Bryce, Caiden, Connor Purvis, Connor Hix, Warren Joe and a large host of extended family and friends.
