Malden ~ Raymond Lee Burchett, 90 of Malden, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Raymond, son of Thomas and Cora Stropp Burchett, was born on Sunday, September 6, 1931 in Malden, Missouri.

He retired from Federal Mogul in 1995 after 35 years of service.  He was a member of the Kingdom of Jehovah's Witnesses in Malden.

On July 5, 1958 in Piggott, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Laverne Temples. She survives.

Other survivors include one son, Ramoin Burchett Abels of Kansas; two daughters, Sharon Barker and husband, Thomas of Malden, Ramona Pinder and husband, Gerald of Wyoming; one step daughter, Karen Young and husband, Kevin of Franklinton, North Carolina; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grand-children; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents; three brothers, Junior Burchett, Joe Burchett and Harold Burchett.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden with funeral services beginning at 2 p.m., at the funeral home chapel with Thomas Hillis officiating.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Barker, Jeremiah Barker, Kevin Young and Randy Tanner.

Landess Funeral Home of Malden will be in charge of the arrangements.
