Poplar Bluff ~ Phyllis Jean Pitts Arnold, 86 of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, formerly of Campbell, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at her residence in Poplar Bluff, Missouri,

Phyllis, daughter of Roy and Imogene Wagner Pitts, was born on Friday, July 12, 1940 in Campbell, Missouri.

She was a homemaker and seamstress; was of the Baptist faith and a graduate of Campbell High School.

On November 8, 1958 in Campbell, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Thomas Eugene Arnold. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2019.

Her survivors include daughters, Karen Cade and husband, Charles and Tina Parker all of Poplar Bluff; grandchildren, Lisa Cox (Rock) of Kennett, Brandon Arnold, Rodger Dale Ryans, Jr., Brittney Williams and Brandi Williams all of Poplar Bluff; numerous great-grandchildren; her five cats, Snickers, Sarah, Pee Wee, Baby and Suzy Q.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Charles Pitts and Danny Pitts.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, Missouri. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri, with Reverend John Crowley. Burial will immediately follow.
