Olen Leon Copeland, son of Jay and Viona Stacy Copeland, was born on Tuesday, October 19, 1943 in Lutts, Tennessee. He departed this life on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at his residence in Campbell, Missouri, at the age of 78 years, 10 months and 29 days.

He retired from being a bus driver and working in maintenance at the Risco school district after working there for many years.

On October 26, 1963, in Illiopolis, Illinois, he was united in marriage to Virginia Carter.  She survives.

His other survivors include three daughters, Angela Copeland of Poplar Bluff, Merranda Borders and husband, Shannon of Campbell and Tyla Walker and husband, Terry of Lilbourn; five grandchildren, Kristopher Walker and wife, Lauren, Brooke Adams and husband, Austin, Ronald Lee Webb, Jr., Dylan Borders and Ashley Borders; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, JL Copeland and wife, Lora of Malden and Glen Copeland and wife, Lidy of Decatur; sister, Peggy Stanz of Chaffee, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will begin at 12 noon Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden, with funeral services beginning at 1 p.m., with Rev. Johnny Bogle officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood 1 ^st Addition Cemetery in Malden, Missouri.
