Nita Hargrave was born on March 8, 1923 in Elkhart, Illinois to the late Peter Stumpf & Anna Jelken Stumpf. She departed this life on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 96.

Nita Hargrave was a retired teacher and was a member of the Stokeland Drive Christian Church in Malden. She was united in marriage to Donald M. Hargrave on July 27, 1945 in Lincoln, Illinois. He preceded her in death on September 26, 1992.

Her survivors include:
2 Daughters: Donita Kay Grimes & husband, Mike of Charleston, Missouri and Debra Lynne Eichenberger & husband, James of Hamilton, Ohio.
3 Sons: Donald David Hargrave & wife, Patricia of Cincinati, Ohio, Daniel Leigh Hargrave & wife, Kristi of Malden and Douglas Paul Hargrave & wife, Tanya of Belleville, Illinois.
11 Grandchildren: Jill Halverson & husband, Karl, Jonathan Hargrave, Stephanie Grimes, Bethany Graham, Traci Jaynes, Amy Nicole Hargrave, Abby Lyn Asher & husband, Rich, Anna Louise Stout & husband, Duston, Emily Lemay & husband, Jeff, Elissa Johnson & husband, Michael and Eric Hargrave & wife: Brigitte.
22 great-grandchildren
Sister: Anna Louise Cavallin of California.

Visitation will be held Tuesday August 6 2019 from 6-8 P.M. at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. in the Landess Funeral Chapel with David Hargrave, Dan Hargrave, Doug Hargrave and Mike Grimes officiating.

Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, Missouri.
