Newt Bedwell, 74 of Bernie passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024 at his residence in Bernie, Missouri. Newt Bedwell was born on November 13, 1949 in Kaiser, Arkansas to the late George and Mary Bostic Bedwell.

Mr. Bedwell was a construction worker.

On July 12, 2010, in Piggott, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Heather Bedwell. She survives.

His other survivors include, daughter, Charlotte Bedwell and Dustin of Malden; son, Gregory Bedwell of Ripley Tennessee; stepson, Zachary Matney and wife, Ashley of Bell City, Missouri; two stepdaughters, Michiala Jenkins and husband, Jacob of Charleston, Missouri and Brydon Maddox of Bernie, Missouri and grandchildren, Allison, Braylen, Destiny and Camren McDonald, Forrest Matney, Mason Matney, Aubree and Jackson Livingston.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Georgia, Glenda, Virginia and Bertha Bedwell and one grandson, Skylar McDonald.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Landess Funeral Home in Malden with a funeral service following at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Stewart Allen Clark officiating. Interment will be in the Rosewood 1st Addition Cemetery in Malden.
