Campbell ~ Nelda Kirkwood, 100 of Campbell, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, Missouri.

Nelda, daughter of Olin Boyd and Ruby Mae Ogden Pleasant, was born on Tuesday, December 27, 1921 in Campbell, Missouri.

On August 27, 1941 in Holcomb, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Joe Lue Kirkwood.  He preceded her in death on November 17, 2003.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Campbell.

Her survivors include two daughters, Leeron Gail Snider of Hopkins, South Carolina, Patricia Ann Kirkwood of Campbell; two sons, Joel Stephen Kirkwood of Lubbock, Texas, Michael B. Kirkwood and wife, Myrna of Campbell; seven grandchildren, Donna McCleeary and husband, Brad, Debra Jo Pepper and husband, Mark, Rachel Hickerson and husband, Roddy, Leeron Rene` Brich and husband, Ken, Amy Beth Peters and husband, Clem, Meagan Shea Rhoads and husband, Dustin, Jessica Clayton and husband, Kent; 18 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Beside her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy Bledsoe and one brother, Alfred Pleasant.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, with funeral service beginning at 2 p.m., with Mr. Mark Pepper officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell will be in charge of the arrangements.
