Campbell – Michael West, 72 of Campbell, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Michael, was born on Saturday, November 14, 1953 to Odie Christine (Chilton) West and RLee West Sr., who both preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Janice Kathy Bevel West on November 19, 1973.

Mike spent his career working on body mechanics and truck driving. Gardening, fishing, farming, and hunting were a few of his favorite pastimes. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his great grandbabies, even on his sickest days he begged to still be able to see his babies.

Preceded him in death: his mother and father, brothers Ed West, Sonny West, Danny West, sisters Joyce Eaker, Betty Hayes, nieces Kim Wamble and Carla Hayes, nephews Ryan Hayes and David West, sister-in-law Patty (Steve) Henderson.

Survivors include his wife Kathy of the home, brothers Kenny (Susan) West of Campbell, RLee (Cindy) West of Hart, Michigan; brothers-in-law Garry Hayes, of Campbell, Jimmy (Susan) Bevel of Rogersville, MO, Billy Bevel of Campbell, Joe (Lori) Bevel of Campbell, sister-in-law, Phyllis Schwartz of Benton; Christopher (Jessica) West of East Prairie, Shane (Karissa) West of Campbell, Heather (TJ) West-McWhorter of Sedalia, MO. The lights of his life include Memphis Bays-West, Jackson West, Sophia West-McWhorter, Nash West, and Great Grandbaby West #5 expected to arrive in October. Chris' marriage blessed Mike with four bonus grandbabies Macie, Riley, and Luke Patrick and Dominick West of East Prairie, along with 7 bonus great-grandbabies.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Tucker Cemetery in Campbell, Missouri, with James Bevel officiating.  Burial will immediately follow.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell will be in charge of the arrangements.
