Campbell ~ Merle Louise Hampton, 84 of Campbell, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021, at SSM Health Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Merle, daughter of Ralph and Helen Sanders Roberts, was born on Thursday, October 22, 1936 Scotts, Arkansas.

She was a retired Receptionist and a member of the First Baptist Church in Campbell.

On July 28, 1953 in Hernando, Mississippi, she was united in marriage to Elmus Euel Wilson. He preceded her in death on September 30, 1999.  She later marriage Oliver Jack Hampton, on November 26, 2003 in Campbell, Missouri.  He survives.

Other survivors include five children, LaVonda Pyle and husband, Carl of Campbell, DeRonda Propst and husband, Mitchell of Dexter, Shiela Boyles and husband, Larry of Fisk, Gary Wilson of Campbell, Pam Daily and husband, George of Canyon Lake, Texas; two step children, Brian Hampton and wife, Beverly of Malden, Andrea Landewee and husband, Michael of Kelso; twelve grandchildren, Daphne Tompkins (Eric), Tara Alfred (Gaston), Ashley Jones, Amanda Johnson (Mark), Tyler Davis (Mandy), Lilimae Daily, Isaiah Daily, Elizabeth Landewee, Alicia Below (Terrence), Adrianna Landewee, Allison Hampton & John Hampton; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, David Roberts, Freddie Roberts and one sister, Ramona Welch; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Michael Euel Wilson.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 20, 2021 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell with funeral services beginning at 12 p.m., with Reverend Randy DeProw officiating.  Burial will be in Loyd Cemetery in Holcomb.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell will be in charge of the arrangements.
