Melissa Jean Jones Velasquez, 33, of Campbell, Missouri, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

She was born Friday, December 18,1992 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to William and Robin Jones (Oxley).

On October 8, 2019, she married Joe Velasquez in Campbell, Missouri.

He survives.

Her other survivors include daughter, Luna Velasquez of Campbell; sister, Amber Jones of Piggott, Arkansas and her grandparents, Kenneth and Evelyn Oxley of Campbell.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents: one sister, Megan Oxley; one brother, Billy Jones, and one infant sister, Lavinia Oxley.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026 at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Ogle officiating.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Campbell is in charge of the arrangements.
