Melissa Harrison 42, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025 at her residence in Clarkton. Melissa the daughter of Rica Leon Brown and Donna Mikel Fowler was born on Sunday, December 19, 1982 in Piggott, Arkansas.

Melissa worked at a nursing home as an LPN and attended Lynn Oak General Baptist Church in Clarkton.

Her survivors include, mother and step-father, Donna and Steve Fowler of Portageville; daughter, Holly Newton and husband, Zane of Holcomb; two sons, Cayden Brown and Landen Harrison both of Clarkton; five grandchildren, Zaleigh, Zeliah, Zaven, Zadrian and Zeppelin Newton; brother, Ricky Brown and wife, Samantha of Clarkton; fiancé, Michael Gray of Clarkton and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rica Leon Brown.

Visitation will begin at 1 PM, Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Landess Funeral Home in Malden.  The funeral service will follow at 2 PM, Sunday, August 31, 2025 in the Landess Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Stephen Watkins officiating. Interment will be in Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton.
