Mary Jane Lewis

Mary Jane Lewis, daughter of the late Willis Leon Guess and Edna Mae DeSpain Guess, was born Saturday January 2, 1943 in Patterson, Missouri.  She departed this life on Wednesday August 21, 2024 at her residence in Malden at the age of 81 years, 7 months, and 19 days.  Mary was a homemaker and of the General Baptist faith.

On October 21, 1961 at Silva, Missouri, she was united in marriage to John H. Lewis.  He preceded her in death on May 14, 2020.  Also preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Carl Eugene Guess.

Her survivors include:  daughter, Helen King and husband Tony of Clarkton; son, Willis Lewis and wife Mona of Malden; three grandchildren, Mark King of Gideon; Heather Blanchard and husband Eddie of Bells, Tennessee, and Andrew King and wife Gabby of Newbern, Tennessee; 4 great grandchildren, Chloe King, Elle King, Kaylee Blanchard, and Kaden Blanchard; and a sister, Elaine Leeds of Poplar Bluff.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday August 24, 2024 at Landess Funeral Home in Malden.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Sunday August 25, 2024 at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden with Rev. Monte Tinnon officiating.

Interment will be Monday August 26, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
