Holcomb ~ Mary Ruth Doughten, 83 of Holcomb, passed was on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Arkansas.

Mary, daughter of Harry and Anna Christine Belcher Horn, was born on Wednesday, September 27, 1939, in Naylor, Missouri.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Crosspointe Family Church and of the Holcomb Historical Society.

On December 15, 1958, in Kennett, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Guy Doughten, Jr.  He preceded her in death on April 8, 2000.

Her survivors include two sons, Gary Doughten of Holcomb, Walter Doughten of Caruthersville; two daughters, Ruth McCallister and husband, John of Holcomb, Theresa Barker and husband, Matthew of DeSoto; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; one great-great-grandson on the way; two brothers, William Horn and wife, Gayle of Herman, Missouri, Dale Horn of Nevada; one sister, Lena Schiff of Seattle, Washington and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Doughten, James Doughten; two granddaughters, Kimberly Doughten, Stephanie Doughten; three sisters and two brothers.

Visitation will begin at 5 P.M, Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, Missouri, with services beginning at 7 p.m. with Reverend Randy Vaughn officiating. Interment will be in Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Missouri.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Campbell are in charge of the arrangements.
