Malden ~ Mary Louise Banks, 81 of Desloge formerly of Malden, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at NHC Nursing Home in Desloge, Missouri.

Mary, daughter of William Elgin and Novella Cartwright Banks, was born on Monday, April 20, 1941 in Fagus, Missouri.

She had worked at Rogers Tooling Factory and was of the Baptist faith.

On July 1, 1957, she was united in marriage to Eugene D. Deck.  He preceded her in death on September 4, 1978.  She later married Kermit Hartwick in 1983.  He preceded her in death in May of 1986.

Her survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Deck Logan and husband, John of Greensboro, North Carolina, Chasity Grayson and husband, Doug of Desloge, Heather Renee Banks of Farmington; three grandsons, Edward Mays, Jr. of Eads, Tennessee, Andrew Banks and Michael Grayson both of Desloge; one great-grandson, Wyatt Mays of Eads, Tennessee; three brothers, Wilburn Banks, Jackie Banks and wife, Doris and Bobby Banks and wife, Kay all of Malden; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Regina Louise Deck Vannasdall and infant son, William Ronald Deck.

Visitation will begin at 12 noon Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden, with funeral services beginning at 1 p.m., with Mr. James Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, Missouri.
