Christi Vickers, 61, of Bernie, Missouri, passed away at her residence on June 18, 2026.

Christi was born on Thursday, November 19, 1964, in West Plains, Missouri, to John Ford and Jeanie Morris Ford.

Christi Worked at the Bernie Public Library for the past 4 years. She spent the majority of her career at Fuell's Residential Home, where she took care of developmentally disabled people, which was her passion, Christi was an active member of Bernie Assembly of God, where she loved to invite people to church, telling them they could sit next to her. Christi loved everyone and never met a stranger. She loved handing out her little Jesus figurines and telling everyone that "everybody needs a little Jesus.” She will be sorely missed.

On January 15, 1999, in Dexter, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Lonnie Vickers. He survives.

Her other survivors include her mother, Jeanie Crow of West Plains, Missouri; two daughters, Amanda Englehart (Ryan) of Zalma, Missouri, and Emily Vickers of Bernie; son, Will Nygard (Kelly) of Bernie; four grandchildren, Jarrett Holloway, Wynston Holloway, Isabella Nygard, and Amelia Nygard; one brother, Tommy Ford of Marshfield, Missouri; two nieces, Monica Bridges, and Erin Miley, and two nephews, Jessie Reeves and Dylan Ford.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Ford, and a sister, Marlas Reeves.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at First Assembly of God in Bernie, with Pastor Joseph Ruth and Pastor Kent Cassinger officiating.
