Gibson ~ Margaret Thompson, 86 of Gibson, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at her son's residence in Jackson, Missouri.

Margaret, daughter of Virgil Lee and Ruby Ailene Tucker Sullivan, was born on Monday, March 20, 1939 in Kennett, Missouri.

She worked at Brown Shoe and later worked and retired from being the Postmaster in Gibson, Missouri.  She was of the Baptist Faith and her hobby was visiting Tunica.

On September 28, 1956 in Gibson, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Buford Eugene Thompson.  He preceded her in death on February 11, 2023.

Her survivors include five sons, Roger Thompson and Dennis Thompson both of Jackson, Michael Thompson and Chris Thompson both Gibson, Jeffrey Thompson of Pollard; five grandchildren, Toby Thompson, Trevor Thompson, Meagan Thompson, Dylan Thompson, Kyle Thompson; many great-grandchildren; two brothers, Verlin Sullivan of Huston, Texas and Freddie Sullivan of Rombauer, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell, with a memorial service beginning at 2 p.m., with Reverend Randy Vaughn officiating.
