Portageville ~ Marcus Aaron Powers, 52 of Portageville, formerly of Campbell, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Marcus, son of Tommy Lynn and Judy Ann Self Powers, was born on Thursday, October 21, 1971 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

He worked at Mag 7 as a welder until it's closing and was a member of the Church of Christ in Campbell.

On March 23, 2013 in Campbell, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Brandy Mince.  She survives.

Other survivors include daughter, Janay Thacker of Portageville; sisters, Marenda Powers McGinley and husband, Kenny of Portageville, Judith Powers George and husband, Brian of Park Hills; brother, Marty Powers of Campbell; nieces, Kaileigh McGinley, Morgan McGinley and Baileigh George and nephews Stockton George.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Slayton George.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, with memorial service beginning at 5 p.m., with Mr. Dennis McGinley and Mr. Stanley Triplett officiating.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Campbell are in charge of the arrangements.
