Lois E. Johnson Luzzo, of Sarasota, FL, passed away on Tuesday August 20th
2019.
She was 102 years old. Lois was the daughter of Gilliam Morris and Fanny Johnson
and was born January 5, 1917 in Malden Missouri.
She graduated from Malden High School and was united in marriage to Jake Rogers
Johnson in 1936. Lois and J.R. were married until his passing February 1981. Lois E.
Johnson married Frank Luzzo June 1996. Frank preceded Lois in Death June 2014.
Lois managed the Malden Marble Works for her father G. M. Johnson and owned and
operated the Malden Flower Shop. She was an active member of Malden United
Methodist Church and a member and former president of the DeReign Club. She
participated in many church and civic activities during her years in Malden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; John Johnson, Morris
Johnson, Hans Johnson and sister, Agnes Riggs.
Lois is survived by one daughter Mariel Janel Shackelford of Sarasota Florida, three
Granddaughters; Elizabeth Janel Chambers of Jonesboro AR, Mary Jennifer Loeffler
of Leander TX, Julie Ann Knight of New York, NY, two Great Grandchildren Kathryn
Holland Cedar Park TX, John Loeffler IV, Round Rock TX, two Great, Great
Grandchildren Nora Holland, Margaret Holland and many Nieces and Nephews.
Memorial services will be held September 28th
at 11 am at Malden United Methodist
Church, Pastor Tom Zych officiating West Park & N. Beckwith Streets, Malden MO,
then a graveside ceremony at the Old Park Cemetery South Douglas Street Malden,
MO. Arrangements are being handled by Landess Funeral Home Malden Mo.
