Linda Baker, 83, of Qulin, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2026, in Dexter, Missouri.

Linda was born on Thursday, April 15, 1943, in Fagus, Missouri, to Samuel Wells and Marcella Wells.

Linda is survived by her children, Donna Tompkins of Broseley, Missouri, Randy Baker of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Dennis Baker (Lyn Baker) of Puxico, Missouri and Darren Baker (Kelly Baker) of Puxico, Missouri.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ladonna Waggoner (Jim Waggoner) of Poplar Bluff, Elijah Capps of Broseley, Missouri, Dinah Morgan of Broseley, Missouri, Sarah Anglim (Doug Anglim) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Daniel Baker (Amanda Baker) of Minnesota, Taylor Baker of Piggott, Arkansas, Gabby Baker of Puxico, Chelsea Aldridge (Austin Aldridge) of Puxico, Missouri and Lindsey Clark (Jeffery Clark) of Puxico, Missouri; great grand-children, Noah Conner, Daylan Conner, Macie Snider, Charley Morgan, Hazel Baker, Addison Capps, Clark Baker, Douglas Anglim III, Olivia Anglim, Elizabeth Anglim and Nash; great great-grandchild: Rylann Conner; sister, Sandra Schockey and husband, Brent of Poplar Bluff and brother, Michael Wells and wife, Tonya of Poplar Bluff.

She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends whom she loved.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Clifford Baker, daughter Debra Capps and siblings, Sammy Wells, Bobby Wells, Tommy Wells, Branda Garver, Sharon Wagster and Donnie Wells.

From her earliest years, she was a woman of hard work, faith, and devotion to family. As a young woman, she worked in the cotton and wheat fields and helped care for her younger siblings, learning early the meaning of sacrifice, responsibility, and love.

Throughout her life, she continued to serve those around her. She worked alongside her husband in their pest control business, helping build and sustain the family business with the same determination and steadfastness that characterized all she did. Her love for others extended into her church, where she faithfully served as a Sunday school teacher at Elks General Baptist Church, sharing her faith and guiding generations of children with patience and compassion.

She also possessed a wonderful creative spirit. She wrote plays and skits for her church and community, using her gifts to bring people together, share a message, and create moments of joy and fellowship.

She was also a member of Campbell General Baptist Church.

Her life was one of service to her family, to her church, and to all those blessed to know her.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m., Sunday, August 9, 2026 at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, August 10, at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell with Reverend Brent Shockey and Reverend Darren Baker officiating. Interment will follow Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley, Missouri.
