Larry Samons of Malden, was born on Wednesday, March 10, 1948 in Corning, Arkansas to the late Luther Matthew and Wilma Juanita Campbell Samons.  He departed this life on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at his residence in Malden at the age of 77 years and 13 days.  Larry was the owner and operator of Malden Auto Parts for many years and was of the Baptist faith.

On August 24, 1968, Larry was united in marriage to Kathy Jackson in Rives, Missouri.  She survives.

Other survivors include daughter, Andrea Samons of Malden; son, Jon Samons and wife Sarah of Malden; four grandchildren, KJ Samons and fiancé Emily, Jaylyn Samons, Lily Samons and Peri Samons; three great-grandchildren, Isla Samons, Kyler Newell and Ocean Newell; brother Richard Samons and wife Debra of Rolla, Missouri; sister, Sharon Steed and husband Joe of Greenwood, Missouri; four nephews, Brandon Steed, Zach Steed, Nathan Ashby and Keith Okelley; niece, Pat Okelley-Hughes and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and niece, Sharon Okelley.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Friday, March 28, 2025 at Landess Funeral Home in Malden.  The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM Friday, March 28, 2025 at Landess Funeral Home in Malden with Pastor Zach Steed and Pastor Tony Allen officiating.

Interment will be in Rosewood 1st Addition Cemetery in Malden.
