Kerlene Moncrief, 82, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020 at her residence in Malden, MO surrounded by her beloved family.

Kerlene, the daughter of the late Elizabeth Chapman Moncrief and the late Eddie Moncrief, was born February 24, 1938 in Newton, Mississippi. She was the oldest of two children. She married Oney James Robinson on January 29, 1955 and had two children, Nathaniel and a daughter, who passed as a newborn.

In 1959, Kerlene moved to Missouri and later married TG Moncrief on December 11, 1961. They had three children, Michael, Vanessa and Vanita.

She is survived by her husband, TG Moncrief, three children; Michael Moncrief of Memphis, TN; Vanessa Moncrief and Vanita Moncrief, both of Malden, MO; her brother, Pete Floyd (Laureen) Chapman of Malden, MO and her daughter in law, Barbara Robinson of Denton, TX.

Kerlene's tribe includes 10 Grandchildren; Kendrick (Debra) Kirkwood of Malden, MO; Dr. Najah (Floyd) Robinson-Moss of Denton, TX; Karletta Moncrief of Columbia, MO; Devan Moncrief of Los Angeles, CA; Quentasha Moncrief of Malden, MO; Richard (Heidi) Marks of Roach, MO; Danitra Moncrief of Malden, MO; Dwantica Moncrief of Aspen, CO; Dealmour Moncrief of Malden, MO; and Michael Nathaniel Moncrief of Memphis, TN; 16 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two children, Nathaniel and a baby girl.

A Private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at the Macedonia Cemetery in Malden, Missouri.
