Holcomb ~ Kathern "Kathy" Ruth Samples, 71 of Holcomb, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at her residence in Holcomb, Missouri.

Kathy, daughter of Willard Cleo and Bessie Jane Tinsley Skaggs, was born on Monday, March 19, 1951 in Hiram, Missouri.

She was a retired beautician and of the Christian faith.

On January 2, 1970 in Kennett, Missouri she was united in marriage to Jimmie Samples.  He preceded her in death on February 1, 2014.

Her survivors include two children, Dana Greer of Holcomb, Marty Samples of Campbell; five grandchildren, Damian Benson of Bernie, Aaron Talley of Holcomb, Kristen Middleton of Dexter, A.J. Conley of Arkansas, Cameran Conley of Arkansas; two great-grandsons; ten siblings, Larry Skaggs, Jack Skaggs, Jim Skaggs, Johnny Skaggs, Barbara Phillips, Diane Staples, Rick Skaggs, Ronnie Skaggs, Steve Skaggs & Stacy Skaggs; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Charissa Samples and four brothers, Jerry Skaggs, Terry Skaggs, Bob Skaggs and Billy R. Skaggs.

Visitation will begin at 12 noon on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell, Missouri, with services beginning at 1 p.m., with Reverend Patsy Weaver officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn-Landess Addition Cemetery in Campbell, Missouri.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Campbell will be in charge of the arrangements.
