June Payne, 70, of Gideon, was born on June 4, 1948 in Gideon, Missouri to the late Merle Payne & Nadine Poole Payne. She departed this life on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

June Payne was an office manager for Northwestern Mutual and was a member of the Bethany Assembly of God in Gideon.

Her survivors include:
Daughter: Shawnda Smith of Gideon.
Son: Larry Shane Smith of California.
Brother: Kevin Payne of Poplar Bluff.
Sisters: Gayle Balentine & husband, David of Murray, KY. & Sharon Bradley of Branson.
Several nieces & nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Mona Lemings, brother-in-law: Dub Lemings and 2 great-nieces: Erin Whittenberg & Darcy Whittenberg.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 1-2 P.M. at the Landess Funeral home chapel in Malden. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Greg Mullins officiating.

Interment will be in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Clarkton, Missouri.
