Malden ~ Juliette Aikens Jamerson, 72 of Malden, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Juliette, daughter of Leotis and Mary Sargent Aikens, Sr., was born on Monday, June 12, 1950 in Gary, Indiana.

She attended Froebel High School in Gary, Indiana.  She was a member of the Mount Zion Church in Essex, Missouri.  She devoted her life to Christ at an early age and was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin and friend.   She was a retired homemaker and industrial worker and loved cooking, decorating and spending time with her family.

On November 21, 2001, in Memphis, Tennessee, she was united in marriage to Jessie Jamerson.  He preceded her in death on May 26, 2011.

She leaves to cherish her two daughters, Diane M Aikens and Verna Dean Sherrod both of Malden; five grandchildren, Johnetta Davis, Yakita Dupree, Antwoinette Dupree, Julia Lenior and Darrian Aikens; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Betty Bell (William) and Vernita Driver all of Gary, Indiana, Elaine Aikens and Mary Ellen Aikens both of Malden; and special niece Sylvia Abbey (Clayton); three brothers, Leroy Aikens (Gale) of Atlanta, Georgia, Leotis Aikens, Jr. (Felicia) of Malden and Anthony Aikens (Delores) of Kennett.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Wallace Jr. and four brothers; one sister and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 12 noon on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden, with funeral service beginning at 1 p.m.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Malden will be in charge of the arrangements.
