J. T. Moody, well-known local farmer was born in Senath, Missouri, July 13, 1935 and departed this life at his home in Clarkton, Missouri, surrounded by his loving family on March 22, 2025.  J. T. met the love of his life, Jessie Dinkins, and they were married on March 2, 1954.  They began their journey of faith and their lives together at Lynn Oak General Baptist Church, where J.T. served the church as deacon for over 47 years.  J. T. and Jessie raised four children;

Diane, Stephen (Transito), Sandy Campbell (Chris) and Randy (Lisa).  They were raised in love at Lynn Oak.  Moody was blessed with eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

J.T. contributed to his community by serving on several administrative boards over the years.  Most notably he served on the board of FM Bank for over 35 years.  Moody was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce and Janiece Moody, a brother Jim Moody, and his parents, Reverend O. F. and Beatrice Moody.

Visitation will be held at Lynn Oak General Baptist Church on Friday, March 28 in Clarkton, Missouri from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.  Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 29 at Landess Funeral Home in Malden, Missouri at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens in Kennett, Missouri.
