Jackson – Joyce Black, 74 of Jackson, formerly of Campbell, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Joyce, daughter of Charles and Margaret Baker Bryant, was born on Thursday, August 10, 1950 in Qulin, Missouri.

She was a Register Nurse, having retired from the John J. Pershing VA Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and a member of the Baptist Church.

On May 28, 1966 in Pollard, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Gerald Delane Black.  He preceded her in death on November 9, 2024.

Her survivors include three daughters, Margaret Sheppard and husband, Craig of Poplar Bluff, Gerry McClain and husband, Mark of Centerville, Iowa and Tammy Eggers and husband Brain of Jackson, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Justin Barkley, Kaitlin McClain, Jesse Colter, Emily Oliver, Taylor Sterling, Ben Sterling and Scarlett Sheppard; four great-grandchildren; three brothers and seven sisters.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Visitation will begin at 12 noon on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, with funeral service beginning at 1:00 P.M., with Reverend Aulden LeBlanc officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Clarkton, Missouri.
