John H. Lewis, 81, son of the late Lee Robert Lewis & Virginia Helen Ray Lewis, was born on October 21, 1938 in Jewett, Missouri. He departed this life on Thursday, May 14, 2020, in Campbell, Missouri.

John had served in the U S Army and was a retired Motor Vehicle Inspector for the Missouri State Highway Patrol. He was of the General Baptist faith. On October 21, 1961 he was united in marriage to Mary J. Guess in Silva, Missouri. She survives of the home in Malden.

His other survivors include, daughter, Helen King & husband, Tony of Clarkton; son, Willis Lewis & wife, Mona of Malden; three grandchildren, Mark King of Gideon, Heather Blanchard & husband, Eddie of Bells, Tennessee & Andrew King of Clarkton; three great-grandchildren, Chloe King, Elle King & Kaylee Blanchard, two Sisters and a host of friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2020 from 5-8 P.M. at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 17, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. in the Landess Funeral Chapel with Reverend Martin Goode officiating.

Interment will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield Missouri.
