John Ara Goldsmith of Malden passed away on Monday February 10, 2025 at Regional One Health in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 74 years, 1 month, and 11 days.

John Ara Goldsmith was born on Saturday, December 30, 1950 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to the late Leslie Eugene Goldsmith and Naomi Ruth Paul Goldsmith.

John graduated from Malden High School in 1968 and later attended Broadcasting school in Rolla, Missouri.  He was a farmer, raising corn, beans, cattle, and chickens.    John taught his nieces and nephews deep sea fishing, camping, and how to use a gun.  He was of the Baptist faith.

His survivors include:  daughter, Kristi Miller; grandsons, Cody Davidson and Aaron Miller; sister, Gail Goldsmith Faulkner of Malden, Missouri;  and brother, Tim Goldsmith and Shan of Crane, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Kathie Goldsmith Owens, and one brother, L.E. Goldsmith.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden with Rev. Aulden LeBlanc officiating.
