Jim Darnell of Malden, son of the late Ralph Darnell & Ada Pearl Davis Darnell, was born in Malden, Missouri on October 18, 1929. Mr. Darnell passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at the VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff at the age of 89.

Jim Darnell was the owner/operator of Darnell Brothers Furniture in Malden and was a member of the St. Ann Catholic Church. He was united in marriage to Gloria Zenga Darnell on February 18, 1950 in Jersey City, New Jersey. She survives of the home.

His other survivors: Daughter: Debbie Pruett & husband, Clay of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. 1 son: Jimmie Lee Darnell, Jr. & wife, Debbie of Malden. 7 grandchildren: Matthew Dockins, Melissa Armstrong, Sarah Patterson, Anna Young, Justin Darnell, Travis Darnell & Ashley Kirby. 10 Great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son: Robert Darnell, his parents, 2 brothers, 3 sisters.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 10-11 A.M. at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Father William Hennecke officiating.

Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, Missouri.
