James Robinson, Jr., 79, of Malden was born on March 5, 1940 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late James Robinson, SR. & Irene Harris Robinson. He departed this life on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

James was a farm laborer and was of the Baptist faith. He was united in marriage to Edna M. Carthan Robinson on March 20, 1961 in Millwood, Arkansas. She survives of the home in Malden.

His other survivors include:
3 Daughters: Alma Robinson of Malden, Lorane Burton of Farmington, Missouri and Jane I. Jones of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
4 Sons: John Young of Aurora, Illinois, Lonnie Robinson & wife, Eunice of Pierre, South Dakota, James Robinson, III of Pierre, South Dakota and Duane Robinson & wife, Alicia of Chesapeake, Virginia.
23 Grandchildren, 33 Great-grandchildren.
2 Brothers: Hosea Robinson of St. Louis, Missouri and Edward Robinson & wife, Randie of Malden.

He was preceded in death by his daughter: Mary Ann Howes, his parents,5 brothers and 5 sisters.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 from 10-11 A.M. at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the Landess Chapel in Malden
