Obituary

Campbell ~ James Davis, 91 of Campbell, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas

James, son of John Richard and Edith Pearl Gunnel Davis, was born on Sunday, February 5, 1928 in McDougal, Arkansas.

He was a retired spot welder for McCabe Powers Body Company in St. Louis; a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in DeSoto; and was a Veteran of the United States Army.

On August 14, 1956 in Corinth, Mississippi, he was united in marriage to Geniva Virginia Wills.  She survives.

Other survivors include one step-son, Roy Wills and wife, Ruby of St. Peters, Missouri; two grandchildren, Scott Wills of O'Fallon and Darren Wills of Troy; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Viola Davis Wright of Pevely, Geneva Levita Vaughn of Bloomfield, Myrtle Jean Pusczec of Indianapolis, Indiana and Freda Ellen Farris of Grandin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, William Floyd Davis, Hubert Richard Davis, Loren Davis and two sisters, Jeneive Davis and Lola Davis.

Visitation will be from 1 - 3 p.m., Monday, October 7, 2019 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, with services beginning at 3 p.m., with Reverend Darren Baker officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery-Landess Addition in Campbell.
