J. G. Gregory of Malden departed this life on Sunday November 24, 2024 at his residence in Malden at the age of 93 years, 7 months, and 23 days.

J. G. was born on Wednesday April 1, 1931 in Jericho, Missouri to the late O. D. Gregory and Iva Skidmore Gregory.  He was a member of Kimball Baptist Church in Malden.  J. G. was a farmer, a mechanic who loved to rebuild cars and was the family fixer.

On August 27, 1954 in Tunica, Mississippi,  he was united in marriage to Cora Cowell.  She survives.

Grandchildren, Greg Smith and wife Jenn of Gloucester, Virginia, Kevin Smith and wife Ivone of Malden, Belinda Overbey and husband John of Bloomfield, Ashli Fisher and husband Dustin of Campbell, Zoe Shepard of Las Vegas, Nevada, Samuel Shepard and wife Bretlyn of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Madison Leroux and husband Hunter of Poplar Bluff, Haylie Layne of Malden, Karoline Young of Campbell and Nichole Fisher and husband Mike of Affton, Missouri,  and Grover Gregory, William Gregory, Lucas Gregory and Rachel Steudeman all of St. Louis;

Sister, Mary Nell Hampton and husband Jeff of Copperas Cove, Texas

Brothers, Dale Gregory and wife Phyllis of Desoto, Missouri and Dennis Gregory of Sikeston.

13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and  2 sons, J. G. Gregory, Jr. and Wayne Gregory.

Visitation will begin at 1:30 PM on Wednesday November 27, 2024 at Landess Funeral Home in Malden.  The funeral service will follow at 2:30 PM on Wednesday November 27, 2024 at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden with Rev. Gene Lancaster and Rev. Tony Allen officiating.  Interment will be in Rosewood 1st Addition Cemetery in Malden.  Pallbearers are:  Hunter Leroux, Kevin Smith, Samuel Shepard, Bill Lawrence, Thomas Cowell and Greg Smith.
