Obituary

Campbell ~ Hubert Vancil, 88 of Campbell, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at his residence in Campbell, Missouri.

Hubert, son of Ora Woodrow and Alma Pansy Pace Vancil, was born on Saturday, January 16, 1932 in Campbell, Missouri.

He was a retired mechanic having worked for John Deere in Malden and later worked the Campbell R2 School for 20 years.  He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War.  He was VFW Post 2368 Post Commander in 76 & 77 and District 15 Post Commander in 77-78.

On September 30, 1953 in Campbell, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Loretta (Babe) King.  She survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Yvonne VanCleve and husband, Tom of Poplar Bluff; one grandson, Chris McClain of Malden; one great-granddaughter, Alma McClain of Malden; two sisters, Marlene Vincent and Betty Hefner both of Campbell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Kate Pace; one son, Connie Ray Vancil and one brother, Hugo Vancil.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell with funeral services beginning at 2 p.m., with Mr. Dawsey Lee Brown officiating. Burial followed in Bethany Cemetery in Campbell.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell will be in charge of the arrangements.
